This makes it possible for consumers to buy goods directly at the point of inspiration, while offering brands a new profitable way of distributing products beyond their usual channels.

By linking retailers and content directly, Tipser jointly serves publishers with improved conversion from an affiliate model and generates a direct sale + customer data for their merchant network.

Our team has doubled in size every year for the past four years and we’re not slowing down. Today, Tipser has a sellable inventory of more than 100 million products and our embeddable e-commerce technology is used by Europe's, and a quickly scaling number of US-based, major media houses to generate a sustainable revenue stream. We have offices in Stockholm, Wroclaw, Barcelona and New York and are continuously expanding to new markets.


The Role: 

Tipser is entering a phase of scale where the rate of incoming customers is expected to increase significantly. In order to ensure that we can deliver on this incoming volume, the process of onboarding new customers needs to be optimized for speed and simplicity while ensuring an appropriate level of service.

The Sales Engineer’s primary responsibility is to optimize the technical onboarding lifecycle, from sales to maintenance. Tipser foresees that in the future, 90%+ of incoming customers must be technically self-serviced. The Sales Engineer team is the organ that will drive Tipser towards that goal.

This is a full-time role based in our Stockholm office.

As a Sales Engineer, you will:

  • Lead in all technical aspects of the sales process and answer technical questions from prospects and clients regarding Tipser technology, features, solutions, and applications 
  • Make technical implementation as smooth as possible for the client. This involves meeting the client to set the expectations ahead of implementation, advising and recommending them around any uncertainties they may have and acting as a technical point of contact towards that client until the scope has been achieved
  • Become a trusted advisor for the client and help define their integration strategy
  • Work together with Tipser's Client Success team to plan and ensure that clients' maintenance needs are met in an orderly fashion which does not sacrifice the quality of service towards new clients 
  • Understand the needs of incoming publishers, and feed the relevant product owners with recommendations/requirements on how to improve the technology.
  • Partner directly with global product management teams to prioritize solutions impacting client adoption
  • Become a technical and functional internal expert of our technology, developing a deep understanding of our solution. 
  • Be responsible for completion of technical requirements within RFI/RFPs
  • Create documentation and other material such as FAQ’s or technical decks for incoming clients.
  • Improving existing documentation, such as the developer documentation and the Tipser Knowledge Base.


We think that you have: 

  • A university degree in Computer Science or other relevant field 
  • 1 - 2 years of professional experience solutions engineering or in a technical customer facing role
  • Proven ability to present in depth technical knowledge in a commercial and sales-driven setting
  • A service oriented mindset, are customer driven, and able to deliver high quality work without a lot of oversight
  • An analytical mind.  You know how to collect data and how to visualize it
  • Proven knowledge of and working experience in HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Knowledge of React and its ecosystem
  • Experience working within a CMS
  • An understanding of web standards, best practices, browser features, limitations and quirks
  • Experience with APIs - how they work and how they talk

A big plus if you have:

  • Basic UI knowledge
  • An understanding of media and marketplaces and preferably e-commerce
  • Experience working in a scale up environment
  • A problem solving mindset
